I was officially diagnosed with Interstitial Pneumonia on the 23rd of March 2018.

This means that I have lived for nearly three years knowing that I have a weird disease that will eventually kill me.

Technically Interstitial Pneumonia is classed as a type of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (or IPF). This means that my lungs are pretty much shot.

It’s an interesting roller coaster of emotions that you go through when you find out your initial diagnosis. Like most people, I think I was relatively positive. I figured that death was a long way away and something that I’d get around to thinking about one day.
